"Balaam refused to speak what God did not speak and would not curse the Israelites, even though King Balak of Moab offered him money to do so (Numbers 22–24). But Balaam's error and the source of his wickedness came from sabotaging the Israelites as they entered the Promised Land. According to Revelation (Revelation 2:14), Balaam told King Balak how to get the Israelites to commit sin by enticing them with sexual immorality and food sacrificed to idols. The Israelites fell into transgression due to these traps and God sent a deadly plague to them as a result (Numbers 31:16)."

There are Prophets and false prophets even now. Balaam is an example of how a Prophet can become a false prophet when they leave the things of YAHUAH and chase after the things of the world, fame, or anything outside of YAHUAH's perfect will. The Prophet of YAHUAH must always be sensitive to the voice of YAHUAH and speak what YAHUAH speaks. A Prophet must confess that YAHUSHA is Messiah and that He has come in the flesh. Anyone that says that YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH has not come in the flesh, let it be known they are a False Prophet. Read about Balaam and see how Believers can easily get off track and the relationship between YAHUAH's people and the YAHUAH's Prophets.
