Not the swift, nor the strong, but the one who ENDURES!

Those who endure will be saved.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the strong, and neither is bread to the wise nor riches to those of intelligence and understanding nor favor to men of ability; but time and chance overtake them all.

Human endurance is feeble. We will all age, fight off disease, and need rest. On the spiritual side of things when we attempt to live Holy without relying on the power of the Holy Spirit and acknowledging Jesus Christ (Yeshua Hamashiach) as our Savior we will ultimately fail. Paul spoke of this when he stated that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. He next asked the question who will deliver me from this cycle? The answer is Jesus Christ. In Him is our deliverance, perseverance and POWER through the Holy Spirit to endure and become His witness to the world. Its most important that if we are going to liberate others that we acknowledge the fact that a reliance on the Holy Spirit (Ruach Hakodesh) is the only way to be truly free from all that is in the world. Imagine, you could have the power of Christ Jesus in you! This is the power given to lead us and guide us into all truth by way of the infilling of the Holy Spirit! You have it when you receive Salvation and pursue the knowledge of God over your own. You keep it when you maintain following the Laws of God which please Him in regards to how you live your life (Torah). One last thing. When I read this verse I see that its important to keep life in perspective. Christ told us that we would suffer! That we will surely have tribulation, and to arm ourselves likewise for the surety of trials which produce purity and exposes us all. Specifically exposing us to the fact that the word of God is truth. "But time and chance overtake them all." No one is exempt. When we look at what is happening on a global scale we see the love of many has waxed cold just as the word says. The temptation to not love another human being as made in the image and likeness of God is at an all time high. In my opinion, this American presidency was allowed to show us exactly WHO we are as a nation. That we have to choose. Either we are for Christ or not. Either we follow the most important commandment to love God with all of our heart, soul, and might, and our neighbor as ourselves, or we don't. Jesus told us that all of the Law hangs out this Commandment. No one is exempt. No one can be neutral. We will all be judged. So with that being said, pray for the endurance to hold fast to the knowledge of God. Study, pray, fast, submit your will to God before, when, and through the hour of temptation....

Grace and Peace.
